Strategic planning facilitator Liz Moore

I grew up in a gateway community of Yellowstone National Park, and my great-grandfather on my mom’s side was one of the first two forest rangers in our country's first national forest (“reserve” at the time). I still have his badge. I suspect my sense of responsibility to care for the most precious things in our world (both places and people) comes from him. As I work to decolonize my mind and take steps to be a better ally, my personal and work history creates another opportunity to confront my participation in the systems of oppression we live in.

My real-world experience leading complex organizations includes working with an organizational development firm where I was a managing partner and led innovations in training and facilitating methodologies. I was an advisor for natural and cultural resource managers across the country, consulting with many of the most complex units in the National Park Service. Some of my most rewarding work has been with nonprofits. I supported a nonprofit through startup; over ten years later, the organization has helped hundreds of low-income students access higher education.

My experience includes a prior career with the international aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Business Aircraft and managing 200+ volunteers and employees at Habitat for Humanity.

When not at Planning School, I’m diving into my passion for supporting women leaders in our Women's Leadership Circle program and as a leadership coach for womxn. I weave women’s studies, ancient wisdom traditions, Jungian concepts, embodiment and somatic practices, and learning about systems of oppression into my women’s programs, helping women step into their courage and power.

My home is in Southwest Montana with my partner, where we enjoy all things natural.

I love to work with leaders who want to source from courage—their courage to face the unknown and not get stopped. To push through the barriers and make real, meaningful change.

For the courageous people who refuse to get stopped,

Liz
